Spring Thaw 2010

As many of you may know, May 15th and 16th was Oregon’s annual Spring Thaw event at Lithia Park in Ashland.
This is Oregon’s largest mountain bike event so Unreal Cycles not only helped sponsor the festivities but showed up with the infamous demo fleet.
However, despite our impressive line of Orange, On-One and Grammo demos on display and available for test ride in the booth, the most popular ride was, of course, our custom side-hack!
We had so many excited hack enthusiasts asking for a turn to ride it we decided to start documenting the comedy that ensued. Who do you think our favorite characters were?
We were having so much fun on the hack we almost forgot about the events themselves!
The sheer amount of people that turned out, whether to ride or support, was really impressive.
We were happy to see our friend Jason Moeschler from team WTB take third place in the Pro Men’s class, congrats!
Some of the best competitors we saw all weekend though had the smallest rides but the biggest hearts….

We had to deck them out in On-One gear for the awards ceremony!

Speaking of awards ceremonies, Unreal Cycles made some lucky raffle winners very happy with our donated On-One handlebars and pink Unreal Senior frame…

Hopefully we will get some sweet photos of this beauty once she’s built up!

So, the 2010 Spring Thaw was a success! We had a great day filled with sunshine, laughter, sweet rides and good company. Thanks to everyone who came out, we hope to see you again next year!
