For the first ride on the bike, I decided to take it out on our Tuesday night shuttle ride up at Johns Peak on Jacksonville, OR. It had been six months since I had thrown a leg over a DH bike and man did it feel good. This bike is absolutely, hands down, the best DH bike I’ve ever ridden. The V10 carries so much speed everywhere it goes, corners with a commanding amount of traction in the loosest of conditions, plows through chunder like bubba Stewart through whoops, jumps exceptionally well, and is so stable that it inspires too much confidence. Needles to say, I’m in love with this bike!
After months of waiting, I finally got to build up my beloved race bike. A 2015 27.5″ sabtacruz bikes V10, and she is a beauty!! Spec’d out with the finest of parts including a SRAM XODH drivetrain, BOXXER WC, industry9 wheels, Raceface cockpit, Guide brakes, and Schwalbe tires. This purpose built downhill race sled looks fast sitting still.
